Roofer Labourer - Required

Job Summary

We are seeking a full time, hardworking, reliable person to assist our experienced and qualified roofers to work as roofing team.

Main location of work will be within Hertforsdhire, our client base include commercial premises, local authorities, and residential properties.

Candidate Requirements/Duties

This role would be suitable for a person with some experience of working on a building site carrying out labouring duties or as an improver and is eager to further their career in the roofing / building trade in general.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekends

Education:

• GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

• Roofing: 1 year (preferred)
• working on a building site: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)
• CSCS card (preferred)

Duties will include but not limited to:

• Using, supplying or holding materials or tools
• Sweep and clean roofs to prepare them for the application of new roofing materials.
• Locate worn or torn areas in roofs.
• Clean work areas and equipment.
• Maintain tools and equipment.
• Cover roofs with layers of roofing felt or asphalt strips before installing tile, slate, or composition materials.
• Remove old roofing materials.
• Following guidance and instructions given by the roofer

Experience/training in working at height would be an advantage.

• Working hours Monday to Friday 8am-5pm or 7am-4pm (depending on site hours)
• Uniform supplied
• 4 weeks paid leave (per annum) plus Bank Holidays
• PAYE - weekly paid
• Valid CSCS would be an advantage
